On November 11-12, 2026, the testing community meets in Frankfurt am Main. QF-Test is there with a talk by Thomas Max and shows on both days at the mgm technology partners booth how AI agents work with QF-Test.
Many approaches to AI-assisted test automation require a modern interface. In practice, however, many business-critical applications run as desktop software or legacy systems that don’t offer an API. This is exactly where the talk by Thomas Max, Senior Software Engineer & Advanced Trainer at QF-Test, at Software-QS-Tag 2026 comes in.
Talk: No API? No problem. KI-Testautomatisierung für die gesamte Softwarelandschaft
November 11, 2026, 2:10 PM to 2:55 PM (CET)
Thomas Max shows how AI agents can use the Model Context Protocol (MCP) to test even applications without a modern interface. QF-Test comes with its own MCP tools for this: An agent explores the application on its own and derives reusable test cases from it, without any changes to the application itself.
Thomas Max also sheds light on other aspects: Which permissions should an agent have if it can perform any action in the user interface? And how can teams protect themselves against prompt injection through manipulated content in the application under test? As Senior Software Engineer & Advanced Trainer, he brings more than 16 years of experience from customer projects.

QF-Test live at the mgm booth
On both conference days, our parent company mgm technology partners has its own booth on site, with QF-Test at the center. There, we show how QF-Test fits into existing test landscapes and how AI agents use it for agentic testing. If you bring questions about your own project, this is the right place for a conversation.
Also on the program: Lilia Gargouri from mgm
mgm also contributes to the program. Lilia Gargouri, Head of Quality Assurance at mgm and member of the German Testing Board, speaks at 11:00 AM about sustainable AI in test automation. Her talk Mehr Tempo, mehr Tests, mehr Probleme? (“More speed, more tests, more problems?”) asks what AI-generated tests cost in the long run, where AI delivers real value and which guardrails teams need to keep their test automation manageable.
Right afterwards, from 11:55 AM to 12:40 PM, she joins the German Testing Board panel to discuss the role of humans in software testing as AI takes over more and more tasks. Also on the panel are Dr. Klaudia Dussa-Zieger (imbus AG, President of the ISTQB®), Maud Schlich (THE QUALITEERS), Dr. Anne Kramer (Smartesting) and Dr.-Ing. Dehla Sokenou (WPS Workplace Solutions). The panel is moderated by Therese Kuhfuss.
