QF-Test is easy to install (also on several platforms), and very well documented in an understandable and detailed way. To our knowledge it is the only automated test tool that is offered also in German including a German Manual.
QFS (Quality First Software GmbH) is a German software company with a focus on quality assurance. Since 2001, the medium-sized company offers the software tool QF-Test for test automation of desktop, web and mobile applications with a graphical user interface. More than 1,500 customers in over 60 countries trust QF-Test, spread across all industries and company sizes. QFS itself places the highest value on quality: in terms of its own product QF-Test, the quality of work and life of its employees, and in terms of a personal, trusting and consistent relationship with its customers. Since September 2022, QFS is part of the Munich-based mgm technology partners GmbH.

New ideas emerge in difficult situations…
… or necessity is the mother of invention: Gregor Schmid quit his job out of frustration that he hardly got any resources for good software quality in his former job (testers were put into development, he was not allowed to buy a test tool…). He went on a world trip with his wife and started to build the tool himself, which he had not been given. After a POC in Southeast Asia on the beach (1999) and the return to Germany, a little more than two years after the start of the project, the first commercial version was released. At that time still called “qftest_JUI” (ok, the tongue twister as an abbreviation for “Quality First Test for Java User Interface” was not the best name) QF-Test has today a firm place in the increasingly competitive testing market. He also had a pretty good nose with Java Swing for a sustainable/long-living software of now over 20 years (Swing wasn’t so well known back then). What programming language lasts longer than a few years today…?
The company QFS (Quality First Software), since September 2022 a subsidiary of mgm technology partners GmbH, manages the further development, sales and support of QF-Test with a good 20 employees and serves over 1,500 companies in more than 60 countries.
Because, like Gregor, our customers have seen the need for high software quality for decades.
We have been known as a professional and reliable partner because we place high value on customer orientation, integrity and authenticity. We emphasize social and environmental responsibility both in our internal operations as well as their local or international activities.

Corporate philosophy “Quality First”
“Quality First” lies at the heart of our company philosophy. With our test tool QF‑Test we contribute to improving the quality of our customers’ software. This has security-relevant implications, whether in the area of air traffic control, or quite everyday manifestations, such as in the area of supermarket checkout software.
We also apply highest quality standards to QF‑Test itself, as well as to the quick, friendly and competent handling of incoming queries, and emphasize a personal, trust based, and steady customer relationship. Of course, our quality of life and work must not be neglected in the process.
It is based on three pillars: Quality, Fun and Sustainability for our initials Quality First Software.

Focus on quality in work and life
We are concerned about the quality of life and work of our employees and their families. Fun both in our daily work as well as during our frequent company events is important to us.
We put emphasis on reconcilability of family and working life (home office two days-a-week, flexible working hours specially for child – or parents care, paid nursery), employee profit participation and team spirit (Lunch paid by the company, kicker and espresso breaks) and health of everyone (offers from gymnastics, table tennis to afternoon naps).

We donate a fixed percentage of profits to charities every year, have received an award for this. In doing so, we focus on sustainability in many projects by donating there every year, as the organizations count on our donation. e.g.

Since 2019, each employee is additionally allowed to select a charitable organization to which donations will also be made. With the help of a PowerPoint slide, all employees present an organization at the Christmas party to which their donation budget goes. In this way, very different aspects receive attention.

In 2012 we had a corporate philosophy project with an interview of all employees that led to the following principles.
