QF-Test Version 4.2.2 Released – Testing of JavaFX SubScene components

This release adds support of JavaFX SubScene components. The mobile emulation mode has been further improved and also included are the usual updates for the current browser versions as well as a few bug fixes.


QF-Test 4.2.1 released – Java 10 support, mobile emulation mode

This release adds support for testing SUTs based on Java 10. Thanks to the direct support for the mobile emulation mode of Chrome simulation of mobile browsers is now much easier. Also included are the usual updates for the current browser versions and a few bug fixes, but fewer than new features which is a remarkable feat for a dot-one version.


QF-Test 4.2 Special Webinar: PDF Testing, REST/SOAP, image based Testing, Unit-Tests and Selenium-Integration (2018-01-30)

On Saturday the 25th of November 2017 Quality First Software GmbH received the Dörte-Sambraus-Award which is awarded to private citizens, companies and organizations that are socially committed to the support of children and teenagers.


QF-Test extends its comprehensive AJAX webresolver library

Now GUI test automation also for web pages available that were written in Smart GWT or Angular. Resolvers for Smart GWT Version 6.1 and Angular (Version 4, Version 2, Angular JS) including the UI components Bootstrap and Material make this happen.

Two small but convenient QF-Test features

You may find it handy that necessary license updates now can be activated simply via the ‘Help’→’Update license…’ menu action. Also helpful to see are the GUI engines/technologies that QF-Test connects with during the SUT start sequence, which are now displayed in the QF-Test terminal.

QF-Test recognizes GWT objects even in obfuscated mode

In web sites that were created with the Ajax Toolkit GWT complex elements such as trees, tables etc. are a big challenge. Furthermore they are – intentionally – falsified by the obfuscated mode of GWT. For this reason many test tools have problems to recognize dynamically generated elements. QF-Test, however, goes one level deeper here and recognizes the elements by « getting past the obfuscation ». Thus, QF-Test ensures a reliable component recognition also for GWT.Features QF-Test/web

October 6th: Special webinar on web component recognition

Component recognition for web pages especially in combination with AJAX toolkits means a particular challenge in GUI testing. This release mainly brings support for Firefox 41 and Ext JS 6, but it also includes fixes for various subtle issues in all GUI engines and is a generally recommended update.
